Description
This beautiful creature, a 49 year old named Robin, was dusting herself with sand (hence the yellowish color) to keep away pests. Long eyelashes also keep the flies out. Her gaunt appearance with her bony jaw line is just a factor of old age. She is one of two treasured elephants at the Riverbanks Zoo and Gardens, Columbia, SC.
